Lovely François appointed director general of Haiti’s ONA
Lovely François was officially installed as the new director general of the Office National d’Assurance-Vieillesse (ONA) on March 24, 2026.
The installation ceremony was led by Sandra Paulemon, Haiti’s Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, during an official event in Haiti.
François replaces Ronald Bazile at the helm of the national pension institution, which manages retirement and social security benefits for Haitian workers.
In her remarks following the appointment, the new ONA director pledged to lead the institution with rigor, transparency, and a results-oriented approach, emphasizing the importance of strengthening public trust and improving the management of social security services.
The leadership transition comes as the government continues efforts to reinforce the performance and credibility of key public institutions.
