A serious aviation accident occurred in southern Colombia when a military aircraft carrying 125 people crashed shortly after takeoff. According to local authorities, at least 33 people were killed, while dozens of others were injured.
The aircraft involved was a Lockheed C-130 Hercules, a military transport plane commonly used to move troops and equipment. The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. local time shortly after departing from Puerto Leguízamo in the Putumayo Department, near the border with Ecuador.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation. Emergency teams are continuing rescue operations, and 81 injured people have already been treated, according to local officials.
