The Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, visited the headquarters of the Direction Départementale de l’Ouest 1 (DDO-1) at Champs-de-Mars to assess the situation following a fire that broke out at the facility.
During the visit, the police chief gathered preliminary information regarding the origin of the blaze, which remains unknown.
Following the inspection, instructions were issued to the Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire (DCPJ) to launch a thorough investigation into the incident.
Authorities confirmed that no fatalities were reported, although the fire caused material and structural damage to the building.
