Trump says U.S. is ‘currently negotiating’ with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the United States is currently engaged in negotiations with Iran in an effort to reach a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
“What I said yesterday was exactly right. We are negotiating right now,” Trump stated while addressing reporters.
According to the president, several senior officials are involved in the talks, including his special envoy Steve Witkoff, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Trump did not provide further details about the progress of the negotiations or where the discussions are taking place, but emphasized that diplomatic efforts are underway as tensions remain high between Washington and Tehran.
