Haiti government appoints secretary of state, ambassador, and several senior officials
The government led by Alix Didier Fils-Aimé has announced a new wave of appointments within the public administration following a cabinet meeting held on March 20 in Haiti.
Among the appointments, former Culture Minister Patrick Delatour has been named Director General of the Institut de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine National (ISPAN). A former Foreign Affairs minister has also been appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Brazil.
Genard Joseph has been appointed Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities.
Several other senior positions were also filled:
- Lovely François – Director General of the Office National d’Assurance Vieillesse (ONA)
- Ricardo Jean Baptiste – Director of the Centre Ambulancier National (CAN)
- Arnaud Venant – Director General of the Ministry of Defense of Haiti
- Osny Jean Marie – Director General of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training of Haiti
- Pierre André Gédéon – Director General of the Agence Nationale des Aires Protégées (ANAP)
- Stevenson Jacques Thimoléon – Director General of the Bureau de Monétisation des Programmes d’Aide au Développement (BMPAD)
- Franck Lauture – Director General of the Institut National de la Formation Professionnelle (INFP)
- Stéphanie Paultre – Director General of the Office National de Partenariat en Éducation (ONAPE)
The government also announced municipal-level appointments affecting several communes, including Léogâne, Trou-du-Nord, Milot, Plaisance, Montrouis, Cornillon-Grand-Bois, Port-de-Paix, and La Victoire.
These appointments are part of the government’s ongoing effort to restructure and strengthen the administration across national institutions and local governments.
