The Police nationale d’Haïti (PNH) stated in a press release that an operation took place on March 29, 2026, in Caracol during the arrest of Kendy Charles, which was disrupted by an armed group.
According to the police, the individual was grazed by a projectile of unknown origin, while barricades and stone-throwing targeted the police station. The PNH denied rumors that the building had been set on fire and confirmed the shooting death of Hudson Lamour, stating that it was unrelated to these events.
The situation is now under control, with officers still deployed on site, the police institution added.
