Against the national teams of Peru and New Zealand, on June 2nd and 5th in the USA, the Haitian national football team will play two friendly matches to prepare for its World Cup campaign. After facing the national teams of Tunisia (0-1) and Iceland (1-1) in international friendly matches, Haiti is preparing to play two new friendly encounters just before the kick-off of the World Cup. Indeed, on June 2nd at the Inter Miami CF Stadium, starting at 7:30 p.m. (Port-au-Prince time), and on June 5th at the NU Stadium, the Grenadiers will face off against the national teams of New Zealand and Peru.
For the first test match, tickets—according to Chase Stadium, the former name of Lionel Messi’s team’s stadium—have been on sale since this Tuesday, May 5th. This information was confirmed by the Haitian federal football authorities.
Haitian football officials have confirmed another match for Haiti, which will face the Peruvian national team. This test match will be played on June 5th.
At the same time, Haitian football fans are already showing impatience at the idea of seeing new faces, including Gorby Jean-Baptiste, Odsonne Edouard, Lenny Joseph, or the Séïde brothers, to grow, strengthen, and even enhance the Grenadiers’ squad before the launch of the World Cup.
As a reminder, Haiti, placed in Group C, will face the national teams of Morocco, Brazil, and Scotland in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup.
