The head of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), Marc-Elie Nelson, is participating in Colombia in the Conference of Ministers of Labor of Latin America and the Caribbean, scheduled for May 21 and 22, 2026, in Bogotá. This event will address labor migration, decent work, and the recognition of qualifications, according to the ministry. The minister will speak on the theme “Migration and Professional Inclusion.” At the conclusion of the proceedings, the participating countries will sign the Bogotá Declaration and a multilateral memorandum on mobility with rights, MAST added.
