The Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Sandra Paulemon, met on Monday with Nicole Kouassi, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations system in Haiti.
The discussions focused on the support that the UN system can provide to national priorities outlined in the Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections. The meeting also emphasized the importance of aligning international assistance with Haiti’s efforts to restore political stability and organize credible elections.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation, particularly in key areas such as the return of internally displaced persons, economic and social recovery, and the reinforcement of the state’s institutional capacities.
The dialogue reflects ongoing collaboration between the Haitian government and the United Nations as the country works toward improving governance, stabilizing the political environment, and preparing for upcoming elections.
