Haiti’s Social Affairs Minister attends regional social security forum in Brazil
Marc-Elie Nelson, Haiti’s Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, is participating in the Regional Social Security Forum for the Americas, taking place in Brazil from March 25 to 27, 2026.
Nelson, who heads the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor of Haiti, departed Haiti on March 23 for São Paulo, where the forum is being held.
The Haitian minister is scheduled to address the regional gathering on March 26, joining representatives from across the Americas to discuss policies and challenges related to social security systems in the region.
The event brings together government officials, experts, and institutional leaders to exchange experiences and explore strategies aimed at strengthening social protection and improving social security frameworks throughout the Americas.
