The MENFP mourns the passing of Professor Jean Fénol Métellus

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) announced with sadness the death of Professor Jean Fénol Métellus, which occurred on April 5, 2026. A former deputy coordinator of the Departmental Public Universities, he had been appointed Vice President of the Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research in December 2025. According to the ministry, Mr. Métellus was recognized for his academic rigor and his dedication to the cause of higher education in Haiti.
