The government has announced a set of measures aimed at preparing for the 2025–2026 hurricane season, following a strategic meeting held on April 8, 2026. The Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, Engineer Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, took part in the meeting alongside the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, as well as other relevant officials.
