, Haiti’s Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, met on Monday with Nicole Kouassi, the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations system in Haiti.
The discussions focused on the support that the UN system can provide to Haiti’s national priorities outlined in the Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections. The meeting aimed to align international assistance with the country’s efforts to restore political stability and organize credible elections.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation, particularly in areas such as the return of internally displaced persons, economic and social recovery, and the reinforcement of the state’s institutional capacities.
The exchange highlights ongoing collaboration between the Haitian government and the United Nations as the country works toward stabilizing its political environment and preparing for future elections.
