The Haiti national football team, known as the Grenadiers, held their first training session in Toronto as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup cycle.
Under head coach Sébastien Migné, the squad—gathered since March 23—began their camp ahead of upcoming friendlies against Tunisia national football team on March 28 and Iceland national football team on March 31.
The initial session included gym work, medical evaluations, and light training on the pitch. New call-ups such as Wilson Isidor, Woodensky Pierre, and Delentz Pierre trained alongside key players like Johnny Placide, Duckens Nazon, and Frantzdy Pierrot.
According to the Fédération Haïtienne de Football, the technical staff has been reinforced with a mental performance coach and a new video analyst, signaling a more structured preparation approach.
Most of the squad is already present in Toronto, although players such as Danley Jean Jacques, Carl Fred Sainté, Miguel Joseph, and Ricardo Adé had not yet joined at the time of the first session.
Looking ahead to the FIFA World Cup 2026, Haiti will face tough competition in Group C against Scotland national football team, Morocco national football team, and Brazil national football team, with matches set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
