UNIFA is organizing its science fair from May 18 to 23, 2026, featuring conferences, projects, and scholarships, centered around major social, economic, and scientific issues. The University of the Dr. Aristide Foundation (UNIFA) kicked off its scientific week this Monday, May 18. For several days, students, professionals, and guests will gather for conferences, project presentations, and various activities, providing a space for exchange and reflection on current topics.

The week begins with a lecture led by Attorney Martine Chevalier on the theme “Law as a tool of slavery.” This first day will also be highlighted by a raffle in which tuition scholarships will be awarded. On Tuesday, May 19, Mr. Richard Coles will speak on “Haiti: 2055.”

Activities will continue on Wednesday with Dr. Harry Beauvais, who will address the question, “Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization in Haiti: breaking the silence, opening hope, building the future.” Thursday will be dedicated to economics, featuring a lecture by Kesner Pharel on “Digital Economy in Haiti: a driver of development – future professions and jobs.” On Saturday, Professor James Valentin will present a reflection on “Colonialism, coloniality, and the Haitian political problem,” followed by an anatomy competition.

In parallel with the conferences, from Tuesday, May 19 to Thursday, May 21, students from the country’s ten geographical departments will exhibit their projects, showcasing their research and creativity.

UNIFA’s scientific week aims to be a venue for both the transmission of knowledge and the promotion of student potential. It will conclude on Saturday, May 23, with a sports tournament between the university’s various faculties.
