The Ministry of Culture and Communication of Haiti has announced the launch of a national song competition titled “Ayiti Alaso,” aimed at marking the participation of the Haitian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Open to Haitian artists and musicians, both in the country and in the diaspora, the competition seeks to stimulate musical creation around this major sporting event. Participants are required to submit a one-minute song in Creole, in accordance with the criteria established by the organizers.
The ministry also specified that the submission deadline is set for April 15, 2026, at midnight. Participation guidelines and additional information are available on the institution’s official website.
It should be noted that the winning artist will receive a prize of one million gourdes, offered by the Primature of Haiti, as part of this initiative aimed at mobilizing the population and promoting Haitian cultural identity ahead of this global event.
