Accompanied by a delegation, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé left the country this Wednesday, May 6, 2026, to travel to Italy for an official mission from May 8 to 11 in Rome and at the Holy See. This visit aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and consolidate cooperation on humanitarian, social, and sustainable development issues.
The head of government will meet with religious, diplomatic, and international authorities to discuss Haiti’s national priorities, stability, and prospects for solidarity. The mission will also include moments of reflection for peace and activities highlighting the historical and cultural ties between Haiti and the Holy See.
