The Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, hosted the Ambassador of Chile, Manuel Rioseco, at the PNH headquarters, according to an institutional press release. The discussions focused on developing new cooperation dynamics and strengthening the ties between the police institutions of both nations, specifically through advanced training programs for specialized units.
During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the PNH emphasized the necessity of a holistic approach to policing. He highlighted the importance of integrating tactical, technical, and psychological support for police officers to better sustain the ongoing fight against terrorist gangs. This strategic dialogue with Chile aims to enhance the operational readiness of Haitian law enforcement by addressing the mental and physical demands placed on officers in high-conflict zones, marking a significant step in the PNH’s effort to professionalize its force through international partnerships.
