The Minister of National Education, Vijonet Déméro, took part from April 27 to May 1 in the 61st session of the Conference of Ministers of Education of the States and Governments of the Francophonie (CONFEMEN), which focused on enhancing the teaching profession. Alongside his counterparts from Chad and Morocco, he presented the Haitian State’s efforts to improve working conditions and strengthen teacher training. The meeting identified several avenues for cooperation, notably the revision of textbooks, continuous professional development, and the expansion of Excellence Centers in Microscience. Haiti, already involved in UNESCO’s global microscience program, intends to strengthen its partnership with CONFEMEN and explore opportunities to develop projects with Haitian universities, according to the MENFP.
