A report released by the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) states that 35 officers of the Haitian National Police (PNH) were assassinated between June 2025 and June 2026. Published to coincide with the 31st anniversary of the PNH, the indicators highlight the severe risks and systemic violence targeted against law enforcement personnel over the past twelve months.
According to the data provided by the human rights watchdog, 21 of the registered casualties occurred during direct, high-intensity armed confrontations against terrorist gang networks. The RNDDH utilized the compliance report to underscore the volatile operational climate faced by tactical units on the front lines, calling on the state apparatus to enhance logistical support, field medical response, and defensive equipment for the national police force.
