A new contingent of 25 soldiers from the Armed Forces of Haiti (FADH) departed this Monday for Martinique to undergo intensive training with the Armed Forces in the Antilles (FAA). According to the French Embassy, this is the 6th group of Haitian military personnel to benefit from this specialized program under the SABRE partnership—a cooperation agreement between France and Haiti aimed at strengthening the operational capabilities of the FADH.
The SABRE partnership serves as a strategic framework for military professionalization, providing Haitian troops with advanced technical and tactical skills in a high-intensity environment. By dispatching this sixth wave of soldiers, the program continues to reinforce the institutional capacity of the Haitian military. This ongoing collaboration highlights France’s commitment to supporting Haiti’s defense forces as they work to modernize and improve their effectiveness in addressing national security challenges.
