According to an official press release from MSF, the hospital’s emergency room and specialized unit for survivors of sexual violence officially resumed operations on Monday, June 1, 2026. The organization plans to progressively reactivate general outpatient clinics and inpatient wards, subject to ongoing local security assessments. MSF issued an urgent appeal to all armed factions to guarantee the safety of civilians and healthcare workers, emphasizing that the hospital represents the sole source of essential medical care for a vulnerable population of approximately 300,000 residents.
