The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that he has held a bilateral meeting with Haiti’s Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Bertrand Sinal, to review the country’s ongoing humanitarian and sanitary crisis.
According to a social media post shared by Tedros on X, the meeting allowed Minister Sinal to officially establish his administration’s immediate, non-negotiable health priorities. These focus directly on deploying aggressive vaccination drives nationwide to counter diphtheria, human papillomavirus (HPV), and MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella). The WHO head reaffirmed that the global health agency remains fully committed to providing logistical backing, technical expertise, and medical supplies to support these immunization efforts across Haiti.
