The Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, held a formal meeting on Monday, June 1, 2026, with the grieving families of the four police officers killed during a tactical deployment in the Artibonite department.

An official memo released by the PNH confirmed that the bodies of the fallen officers have been successfully recovered. The families will have complete autonomy in planning the memorial services, backed fully by the institutional and financial resources of the police force. PNH leadership emphasized that government care will extend well beyond the funerals; in accordance with the statutory decree of July 1, 2022, the state will implement specialized hazardous duty indemnities and long-term financial compensation frameworks for the beneficiaries of officers killed in the line of duty.
