A large protest movement brought the city of Jacmel to a standstill on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Several public and private institutions, businesses, and schools remained closed.
Through this demonstration, protesters are demanding that the State take responsibility following the attack carried out by armed gangs in Seguin.
They denounce the negligence of authorities, whom they hold responsible for the deterioration of the security situation that forced residents of Seguin to flee their homes, while others lost their lives.
