The Minister of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE), Sandra Paulémon, and the Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Haiti, Modibo Traoré, convened a specialized working session on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The inter-institutional assembly focused directly on strengthening operational coordination frameworks and optimizing the delivery of structural humanitarian aid across the national territory.
According to an official policy brief released by the Ministry, the Haitian Government aims to systematically enhance the efficiency of external material assistance. Minister Paulémon emphasized that a primary goal of these high-level negotiations is to establish a more cohesive alignment between international agency field operations and Haiti’s sovereign domestic priorities, ensuring that incoming emergency resources properly support long-term regional development plans drafted by the state.
