The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications officially launched on May 16, 2026, the rehabilitation works on the section of the RD205 departmental road connecting the city of Les Cayes to the commune of Torbeck.
This strategic road ensures the link between several communes in the South department, including Les Cayes, Torbeck, Chantal, Arniquet, Saint-Jean-du-Sud, Port-Salut, Coteaux, Chardonnières, Roche-à-Bateau, Port-à-Piment, Les Anglais, and Les Irois.
