On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visited the Gang Repression Force (FRG) base in Tabarre to oversee the intensification of the government’s security offensive. Accompanied by PNH Director Vladimir Paraison, the Prime Minister inspected the technical facilities and housing infrastructure for the new international contingents. High-level discussions were held with FRG Special Representative Jack Christofides and BINUH Deputy Secretary-General Daniela Kroslak regarding the effective deployment of units and the acceleration of operations against armed groups.
Addressing soldiers from Chad, El Salvador, and Guatemala, Fils-Aimé delivered a clear mandate: “The Haitian people expect only one thing from you: concrete results for the lasting restoration of security.” This field visit follows an emergency Council of Ministers held immediately after the Prime Minister’s return from Europe, signaling a high-stakes push to reclaim national territory. The government reaffirmed its absolute determination to restore state authority and establish the necessary security conditions for the upcoming electoral process.
