The Haitian National Police (PNH), through the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (CCE) and the Directorate of General Intelligence (DRG), secured the release on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, of a one-year-old girl who had been abducted by her nanny on April 5.

Located in the Damien/Bon Repos area, the suspect abandoned the child while fleeing in Trou Sable. The girl was returned to her parents safe and unharmed. The suspect is currently being actively sought, and an investigation is underway, according to the PNH.
